Refund Policy

At Maheshwar Chandra Roy, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, custom digital solutions. Because our work involves highly specialized time, expertise, and irreversible digital labor, our refund policy is strict and clear.
1. The 50% Upfront Deposit
Before any project begins, a 50% upfront deposit is required. This deposit reserves our time in our production schedule and covers the initial discovery, strategy, and setup phases. This deposit is strictly non-refundable once work has commenced or more than 48 hours have passed since the payment was made.
2. Cancellation After Work Commences
If you choose to cancel or abandon the project after the design or development phase has started, the initial 50% deposit will not be refunded. If the amount of work completed at the time of cancellation exceeds the value of the initial deposit, you will be invoiced for the remaining uncompensated hours.
3. Post-Delivery Refunds
Once a project has been completed, approved, and the final source code or assets have been delivered (or deployed to a live server), no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. You will have multiple opportunities to review and approve the work during the development process before the final delivery.
4. Dispute Resolution & Chargebacks
By engaging our services and paying the deposit, you agree not to issue a chargeback via your bank, credit card, or payment provider (e.g., Payoneer, PayPal, Stripe) for any non-refundable fees. We document all communications, approvals, and code deliveries. In the event of an unwarranted chargeback, we reserve the right to suspend any active hosting, revoke licenses to the delivered code, and pursue the balance through legal channels or collections.
5. Exceptions
Refunds may only be considered in the rare event that we are completely unable to deliver the project due to unforeseen personal emergencies or technical incapacities on our end. If we cancel the project, a prorated refund will be issued based on the work that was not completed.
